About

Jody has been a fitness coach since 2013. She has been a coach at Rise since 2020, and she is currently the Head Coach. It is her passion to help and impact people. She is inspired by each and every client she has had the privilege to coach. Whether it is guiding an individual to be the best version of themselves, helping an athlete lift for the first time, helping someone live pain free for the first time in years, coaching an athlete to reach their full potential, or teaching people the importance of lifelong exercise, connecting and genuinely caring for each person is at the heart of her coaching.

Jody began fitness coaching at California Fitness Academy in 2013. She was the Program Design Manager, Director of the Sports Performance Program and coach from 2013-2019. In 2015 she was the volunteer assistant softball coach for San Diego State. Jody also spent one year as the volunteer assistant softball coach at Fresno State in 2012. Coaching for Jody started during college. After finishing her playing career at College of the Sequoias, she went right into coaching where she became an assistant coach for the same program she played in. In her 9 seasons at COS, Jody assisted in all aspects of the program. She specialized in defense, assisting
with the leadership program and led the Strength and Conditioning program in her final 2 seasons. Playing and coaching softball is what initially connected Jody to fitness. Jody believes her experience as a student-athlete is a huge piece in her story and one reason she has such a passion for fitness and coaching today—it will always be a part of her.

A native of Exeter, Jody graduated from Fresno Pacific University in 2010 with a bachelors degree in kinesiology and an emphasis in exercise science. A year later she earned a masters degree in kinesiology from FPU.

Her passions include working out, spending time with her amazing family, living on the cattle ranch she grew up on, watching sports on tv and in person, coaching youth basketball in the same recreation department she grew up playing in, and coaching people of all ages.
